10yr Wedding Anniversary!

Ten years.....WOW!
Well I think Nathan and l agree that it has been a rollercoster but wouldn't have changed a thing.
We had always said we would go back to the Whitsundays for our 10yr anniversary as we did not get to visit the Great Barrier Reef on our honeymoon. So we accomplished that and a whole lot more.
Probably best for the photos to explain themselves but please note there are alot of "selfies" and for all my sisters and sisters in law that give me a hard time for too many photos, we had 5 devices that took evidence of our AMAZING trip away!
So please sit back and enjoy!!!

For those of you that are unaware Nathan and I have always followed the traditional gifts for anniversaries. 10yrs is Tin/Aluminum,hence the bucket and Al foil

Our family of Heinrichs took it to the next level with a basket wrapped in "Al  foil' with tin cans with no labels.
It has been fun finding out what is inside!
So off to Melbourne we go ready to catch our early flight the next day but not before catching a footy match!
Up bright and early (5am) to head for the sunshine!!
What a view coming in too.
We were settled into our room and ready to explore by 10:30am

First morning and this is the view from our room

Our complimentary breakfasts NEVER disappointed

So these are some of our days activities.....arrrrrr relaxing, walking around the island, swimming and just enjoying no routine or concept of time.

We were pleased to find on one of our many walks that they stock "Farmers Union Iced Coffee!
Sunsets were amazing every night.
This was the newest attraction to Hamilton Island. The Yacht Club designed like a whale breaching
Yacht club and marina from a lookout
We were tempted to jump on board...
The highlight and reason for our trip was to go out to the reef. So we were very excited when that day came. We picked apparently the best day. Blessed.
Reaching the destination-Hardy's Reef
But before diving in we were dressed in the finest attire

These pictures were taken from a waterproof "old school-see them when printed" style camera but was very true to how we saw it. With no artificial light like you see in other photos, truly breath taking. Our visibility was 10metres that day.
"Nath take your scuba mask off!" oops you have.....hehehe
When the tide is going out it creates this "horizontal  waterfall".
Leaving one of the "wonders of the world" a very happy lady. Amazing day!
Up Anzac day for the dawn service
It was a big turn out at the Outrigger for the event.

Even though we had a concierge the whole time away we still felt the need to hire one of these bad boys and take it for a spin!

First stop- The airport (l have married my Dad)

Every night was spent gazing into the eyes of this handsome man.......
Boo!
Midnight golf buggy adventures
Whilst you stay on the island you are always asked if you want photos taken of activities you do. So one morning whilst out on our catamaran we had a picture taken with our hotel on the right.

The Beach Club gave us a complimentary photo shoot also with a free print.
We couldn't choose, so we got both
Last night on the island and to finish it with a bang we had dinner at the yacht club restaurant-"Bommies". I suggest you google it to find out just how extravagant it was.

On the last day we found out how to use the panoramic option on Nathans phone

The Beach Club

Our return home to Victoria was not as bad as thought.
Not bad for a "mystery deal" on wotif,Hotel Windsor-Melbourne

Just a list of those who have also stayed at the hotel
Guests are welcome to purchase these diamond spider brooches...ooo la la

View from our upgraded king room
Penning a letter to the Queen I thought
Taking advantage of everything free...

Including the pillow menu
Marble bathroom with samples to take home left right and centre
Heading down to breakfast the next morning and Nathan pondering the days events

Easing back into reality like this was just my "cup of tea!"
A massive thankyou to my husband for a trip away that exceeded my expectations and another massive thankyou to Ma Ma for coming over to look after our cherubs whilst we enjoyed such a blessing!
