Echuca Show!

So it was show time in our little town and even though it wasn't widely advertised we thought after being here for almost three years we should give it a go. So off we went with plenty of snacks and water (no way we were paying "show" prices for food) covered in sunscreen and willing for the afternoon out!
The amount of show bag trailers there were, it was hard not to get exciting for our girl.
So being the loving parents we are, we bought them both a bag. Mind you the price of show bags has changed ALOT since l was young.
Bunnings had a tent there which children could go do as many crafts as desired for free. It was great and of course our little artists was there for awhile.
So without really knowing when l bought Mitchell his "smarties" show bag,l heard of a little Nathan who had been given the same one as his first show bag.So in my efforts to try and recreate the same picture.......................
I definitely wasn't successful.....oh well

Mt Gambier!

It was a last minute decision one Thursday night to pack our bags and head down and over the border to Mt Gambier. Friends of ours own and run a motel there and to be able to catch up with them before the arrival of their first baby was a great opportunity.
But not before a quick play in the roses.
Our hosts for the weekend Josh and Jody
With three weeks to go before little Harvey James Pettman was welcomed into the world, a muchly needed dinner out was had.
This was my first visit to Mt Gambier and there was alot to see, including the Blue Lake
A quick drive down to Port Macdonnell with Antarctica straight ahead....l think(?)
Next day and morning tea with Aunty Cath, Uncle Tom and Nic. Kids loved Sams mexican walking fish
Before heading back to Victoria we needed to visit the Umpherston sinkhole.
Dinner stop in Horsham and that was perfect for Mitchell to power those legs again on his bike and Lexie to fly her new kite, well when Nathan would giver her a go.

Calisthenics Concert!

So that time of year had come around again finally for Lexie. After last years performance every Monday afternoon lesson had the questions asked "Is it concert time yet Mum?"
Dress rehearsal time
Little skippys
Make-up done for big night
Without being bias the best on stage was Lexie. She had tried so hard to not watch the teacher whilst on stage and improve her skipping and she did, got it all down pat!

October Visitors!!!

What can l say but we are very blessed to have had so many people, both family and friends, come visit over the last few months. Mum and Dad arrived on a super hot Sunday afternoon and we opened our doors and days again to fun fun fun!!!
So what's the first thing you do when parents come to visit...? Dump the children and go out to dinner quick quick.hahahaha No wasn't like that, kiddies had given us a voucher to the finest restaurant in Echuca and it just needed to be used.Thankyou Lex and Mitch!
But when in care of grandies they are no limits.....Mitchell took advantage of this
"Wonder if anyone saw me eat that sand? Might head to the chip bucket instead"
Mitchell played cute every time with Nan and Pop by giving them "cheesy grin"
Manly trio taking in serenity
Mitchell in his element with Pop and Daddy in hand
Between the bright sun and wriggly children, family photos are impossible to get. grrrrrr
make that almost any photo.....
Not of the poser though
Before Nan and Pop had to start heading back home, there needed to be a quick trip to "Lexies" Bunnings....
and a carpet party of KFC, our tradition!
Guess who stole the camera.......
Thankyou for coming Nan and Pop!!! Nathan is eternally grateful for the ironed work shirts every morning.
