Aussie Long Weekend!

Well how privileged are we as Australians. We get a day off just because. And this year it was just all too easy to take that extra day off and enjoy an extra long weekend. Lets say we made the most of it all!

Day one:Australia day! Super hot day ready for our BBQ, complete with pavlova and pool.

Day two: Date night in Melbourne botanical gardens @ Moonlight cinema. But no ordinary night an extra special one as all because we drive a FORD we were bumped up to VIP and we got treated like a king and queen,free food,drink,bean bag lounges, rug to keep and a prime position!

A quick sticky past the Australian Open Mens semi final on way home.Didn't see anything,thought a big screen might be up.

Day three was shopping in Chadstone (a VERY BIG shopping centre)but no photos there sorry..... Day Four: Aus Open Final and some of us just have to dress up!

Quick Farm Visit!

We arrived home safe and sound. Stayed for a couple of days then packed once again to go to the farm and pick up our dog Tyson. Good chance also for all of us to be together before Relle and girls went back home.

But not before Nathan attacked our over-grown lawns

2012 Begins!

So the year begins,2012. We started by going to Brisbane to see my grand father. He had not met Mitchell yet and the blessing of having a "great" grandfather and being so close at the time was important.

Grandpa showed us around his new residence.

Next stop was Gold Coast for 3 nights.

It was perfect weather and we truly enjoyed ourselves. (Sorry Mum you weren't feeling well)

Holidays are for sleep ins and good pancakes for breakfast...

Nathan and l had always said we wanted to go to Seaworld together, well the time had come and we ALL had a great day.Worth it all!

At times it was hard to get a family photo. Mitchell was always attached to someones hip or lap..........who could that be???

We,along with 10,000 others so we hear, packed into Seaworld, it was a very HOT day. Regular drink breaks were needed.

One of the high lights for Lexie was seeing Dora the Explorer, we just had to find her.

Enjoying our last rides for the day and we were fortunate enough to be allowed to have one more go on the log rides.....perfect on a hot afternoon, we did not mind getting wet at all

Of course no day is complete without abit of retail therapy at the gift shop
